Michelle “Mitch” Phillips is a foundational figure in the Arizona creative community. Since 2001, she has shaped the region’s aesthetic landscape as a fashion stylist, designer, and installation artist.
Mitch’s practice is rooted in “the art of the installation”—a perspective that treats every space as a living gallery. This vision has shaped everything from high-production editorials for PHOENIX Magazine to large-scale fashion exhibits for the Phoenix Art Museum and the Chaos Theory art show. Each project serves as a masterclass in the intersection of archival treasures and unconventional, forward-thinking design.
With an internationally recognized “fashion-eye,” Mitch has spent over two decades bridging the gap between historical textiles and contemporary style. ORE is the culmination of that journey—a physical space where her eclectic, refined aesthetic is finally home.

studio c101 is situated in the historic old jerome high school, a complex that stands as a monument to the town’s copper-fueled heyday. building c, where ore makes its home, carries a particularly curious history. completed in 1922, it was originally designed to be a state-of-the-art hospital for the united verde extension (uvx) mine.
while the building eventually pivoted to education rather than medicine, it later became a sanctuary for the artists who helped save jerome. for years, studio c101 served as the creative home for renowned local artist robin anderson. as neighbors and admirers of robin’s work and his impact on the jerome art center, mitch and thomas are honored to step into this storied space —continuing the legacy of artistry and vision that robin established within these solid concrete walls.
Step inside the historic heart of Jerome and find your next obsession. Our limited-edition critters and archival vintage are waiting to be rediscovered.
